7000 BC at Breakin Hearts

7000 BC will once again have a table at Breakin Hearts, Albuquerque’s hip-hop festival, this weekend on Saturday, February 16. A larger venue with plenty of activities (including afternoon workshops) will make this their biggest and best yet. Look for Fakin’ The Funk and other comics from local creators at the 7000 BC table.

The February 7000 BC meeting will be held in Santa Fe at Backroads Pizza (807 2nd St # 1), moving across the street to Second Street Brewery after 2:00. New members are always welcome.

24 Hours in New Mexico
On 24 Hour Comics Day 2007, more than 40 creators in Santa Fe and Albuquerque accepted the challenge of creating a 24-page comic in 24 hours.
Now, 24 Hours in New Mexico, a 389-page collection of the work produced that day, is available for download.

January 7000 BC Meeting
Sunday, January 13 | 2:00 | Winning Coffee Company and Brickyard Pizza | Albuquerque, NM
The first meeting of 2008 wlll be Sunday, January 13 at Winning Coffee Company at 111 Harvard Dr SE at 2:00 in the afternoon. We’ll be working on a jam and planning for the year’s teaching activities and conventions. Around 5:00, the meeting will move around the corner to Brickyard Pizza at 2216 Central for dinner.

Zombi Jam
Plenty of delays getting jam comics posted here these days. The somewhat holiday-themed jam produced at the December 7000 BC meeting is available for download. Note: it has Santa, but it’s not all-ages.
The January meeting will be a week from Sunday in Albuquerque.
December 7000 BC Meeting

7000 BC’s monthly meeting is this Sunday, December 9 in Santa Fe. It begins around noon at Backroads Pizza (807 2nd St # 1), if not right as you walk in then up on the second floor (just follow the counter around to the stairs). It moves across the street to Second Street Brewery after 2:00. We’ll be working on a jam or two and showing up the 24 Hour Comics we’ve collected, among other things.
