The November Jam Begins... balloons and manga

I'm gonna be posting the Minneapolis cell's November jam over the next couple of weeks, a page at a time again... the themes this time are "Big Eyed Action Manga" and "What the hell is this balloon doing floating over my head?" Here is the cover and the first page:
