DANNO KLONOWSKI is a cartoonist and podcaster. MATT RISNES is a noted film blogger and podcast guest. They have been friends for nearly 20 years and like talking about stuff at length and in-depth. In the fourth episode they discuss their favorite and most influential music of the early 1990’s. As you’d expect, there is music a-plenty in this episode.

Bands discussed in this episode: FAITH NO MORE, SLAYER, MEGADETH, GUNS ‘N’ ROSES, GODFLESH, NIRVANA and TYPE O NEGATIVE.

  1. Captain Ringfinger says:

Best episode yet! One of my favorite things about you guys is all the new things you’d introduce me to. I’ve always been spoiled like that, all my friends (including the wife) and my 5 older brothers to this day are responsible for 99% of anything new I’m exposed to.

I remember Matt sitting me down to listen to things like type O Negative and Rage Against the Machine. I think my nerdy white suburban comment at the time was like “it’s a little loud, BRAT”. I remember Danno educating me about They Might Be Giants because the onlyment 2 songs I knew very featured in an episode of Tiny Toons. So many other things to be grateful for so just going to say thanks a million.

As always, your recommendations for books, movies, and artists are really welcomed.

Loved the comments: “butt-rocking Guy Fieri jokes”, “the notebook scrawlings”

I remember watching the premiere of the November Rain video at Swap’s house and hating the video.
