The theme was “When the Elephants Come to Town,” which is a reference to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul this year. Many items that did not fit in the issue were included online. The print issue will be all over the Twin Cities for the next week.

Among many other things, Kevin Cannon has contributed another one of his enormous, chicken-fat-filled cartoons:

  1. That Kevin Cannon piece is really great, except that it sort of breaks my heart that he has Charlie Brown mooning over Michele Bachmann. Oh, well.

  2. They couldn’t bother to scale them to browser-friendly sizes? Mine is so big, even I don’t want to bother side-scrolling to read it!

  3. Yeah, it is pretty unreadable at that size, Lupi. If I was in your position, I’d send a nice email to the editor with a request that they post it at a smaller size along with a version you have already sized to your desired dimensions.
